Since John and I came up with the idea for the Project for Awesome in 2007, it has, every year, gotten cooler and cooler. But in 2011, this Project is going to get a lot more Awesome.
How? Well:
- YouTube will be hosting a four-hour live stream on December 18th. We'll be having a lot of special guests stop by to entertain you in exciting and, in all likelihood, embarrassing ways.
- In addition to promoting charities through videos throughout YouTube, we will be holding raffles to raise money for charities. We'll be raffling off a lot of amazing prizes from a huge number of people.
- We will be on the look out, like every year, for exceptionally good Project for Awesome videos to promote not just to Nerdfighteria, but also the whole world, possibly with front-page YouTube spotlights!
So, yes, you will want to be involved this year. Please clear the 17th and 18th on your schedule, and get your video-making strategies ready! And sign up for the mailing list in the sidebar to make sure you keep updated!
